| Who We Hire ESS is a premier employer of engineering and
computer specialists. A qualified candidate will have a four-year degree with
an emphasis on engineering or computer science. In some cases, a two-year degree
with special certification (Novell CNE, Microsoft Certified Engineer, etc.) is also
acceptable. Most candidates will have two or more years of practical experience.
Computer
Scientists / Software Engineers Software developers familiar with
Java, C/C++, UNIX, Windows 2000/XP, or OOP/OOD techniques.
Electrical
Engineers Design embedded control systems using analog and digital
technology.
RF
/ Microwave Engineers Design and develop high speed communications system.
Familiarity with cellular telephone systems (CDMA/PCS), high speed digital MODEMs,
or satellite systems a plus.
Systems
Engineers Work with a design team to create complex systems such as
aircraft control systems, cellular phone infrastructure, or the latest in communications
satellites.
LAN/System
Administrators Administer systems based Windows 2000/XP,
Windows Advanced Server, HP-UX, or Sun
Solaris. Familiarity with multiple platforms in a complex environment and special
certification a plus.

How
often do we get paid? ESS pays its employees every other
Thursday.
Typically, your account manager will visit you on-site and deliver your pay check.
If not, we'll mail it to you so you will receive it on Thursday.
How
long does a job assignment last? A job assignment can last anywhere from
six months to five years, but on average our consultants work for 18 months.
Can
I go to work for a client? Although we would like you to continue your
career at ESS, we understand that sometimes you may want to work directly for a client.
If you desired to work for one of our clients, be sure to let your account manager
know when you are ready for a change.
